These terms govern your use of carllama.ai (the "Site") and any offer we make on your vehicle. By using the Site you agree to these terms.

1. What CarLlama does

CarLlama gives private-party vehicle sellers market-accurate cash offers. You submit your vehicle's details and photos. We run them against current market data and return an offer, which is non-binding on you and conditional on a quick in-person inspection on our side.

2. Your responsibilities

When you submit a vehicle for an offer, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the legal owner of the vehicle or have written authorization from the owner
• The information you provide (VIN, mileage, condition, photos) is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• The vehicle is free of liens not disclosed to us
• You have not intentionally misrepresented the vehicle's condition, accident history, or title status

Material misrepresentations void any offer. Intentional misrepresentation may be pursued as fraud.

3. Our offer

• Every offer is valid for 7 calendar days from the date we send it to you
• Offers are conditional on in-person inspection. If the vehicle differs materially from what you described, we may adjust the offer or withdraw it entirely
• We may decline to make an offer on any vehicle at our sole discretion
• Payment is issued as a certified check or electronic transfer after inspection, title verification, and lien release if applicable

4. How we determine value

Our offer reflects wholesale-market pricing data from licensed sources including Kelley Blue Book, Manheim Market Report, and comparable retail listings within your geographic area. It accounts for mileage, trim, reconditioning costs, and current demand. It is not the same as retail list price — dealers resell at a margin above wholesale, and we price at buy-side to stay in business.

5. Title transfer

Upon acceptance and inspection, you agree to:

• Sign over the title with current odometer disclosure (federal requirement)
• Provide a valid driver's license for identity verification
• Provide lien release documentation if the vehicle has an active lien
• Cancel any active insurance once payment has cleared

CarLlama handles registration transfer and DMV paperwork on our side.

6. Limitations of liability

The Site and our offers are provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarLlama is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount we paid you for your vehicle (if a transaction completed), or $100 (if no transaction completed).

7. Dispute resolution

Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in Contra Costa County, California, under the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-laws provisions. You and CarLlama waive any right to a jury trial.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
